The illustrations in this poster where exciting for me to make, since it marked the first time I used Procreate to create images for a client. Before, I would always draw my illustrations by hand and image trace them in Adobe Illustrator.
I wanted to be clear in the writing of the poster that this was not a meeting with was alligned with any of the standard recovery programs. This was simply going to be a space where someone can feel comfortable to share their experience in hope of catharsis and connection with others.
The possum poster project is a lively blend of playful charm and colorful energy, taking cues from beloved children’s stories and vibrant concert artwork. Created with the Styx brush on the Procreate app, the poster features a cheerful possum character surrounded by a burst of lively colors. Its mischievous expression and dynamic composition capture the essence of the student art exhibition, reflecting the spirit of creative reinterpretation with style and flair.
